Caesar Crossing the Rubicon

Was at the national gallery earlier, did a little sketching and took a look-see at a painting I'm going to be doing a paper on.

This is a sketch of Jean-Leon Gerome's Caesar Crossing the Rubicon, a really cool bronze statue that I rather like.

I really messed up proportions and whatnot sketching this; I'm pretty sure that horse is just...wrong, in terms of size. Done that before. c: And I sketched the damn thing standing up, so the fuck if I cared while drawing it. I was sketching this for at least 15 minutes, so I was dedicated, at the very least.

Killed my left wrist holding the sketchbook though.
